What Basically Shocked the Mumbaikers I believe Is Not The Terrorist Attack. . (Most Of Us Have Become Habitual To The News Of The Frequent Blasts. . Havent We ??)
Its The Kind Of Attack That We Were Shocked About . . Never Before Had this Kind Of An Incident Been witnessed. . I'm Sure Not Much Has To Be Said About Those Dreaded 59 Hrs As It Probably Had Almost Every Soul In The Country Glued To their television Sets Every Moment Every Second . . Just Waiting For It All to End. .

And When It Actually Ended . .What Followed Is What Makes Me Think. . Who Should Actually be Blamed For This whole Drama. .
Starting With the Politicians who Took Full Advantage Of This Situation. . Some In Blaming The Opposition. . Some going to visit The Survivors Or The Rest Few Who Wasted No Time And landed up at the Taj Or The Trident While The Attack Was Still On . . (Of course All Of Them Were Still with their Z-Security). .
What Surprised Me Was That even Before the Taj Was Cleared Of All The Terrorist , Hoardings And Posters Had Already Been Put Up Across Mumbai With The Political Party And Their Representative Names In Bold and the Pictures Of The Martyrs who Lost their Lives In The Unfortunate Incident. .

Then Next To Be Blamed Had to Be the Police Department Who turned A deaf Ear To All The Warnings that The Intelligence Department Claims To Have Given the Police Authorities about A probable Terrorist Attack On Mumbai. . Some News channels Even Reported The fisherman , who Reside In the Colaba Fisherman Villages , Having Informed The Local Policemen About some Unusual Visitors That They Had Observed But No Action Was Taken . .

But Then Again I feel It Is We People Who Are To Be Blamed . . (Wondering Why???)
Well The Reason Is the Answer To This Question? ? How Many Of us Would Approve Of Being Checked Or Frisked By The Security Men When about To Enter A 5-Star Hotel. . ? ?

Needless To Say I Myself Would Never Want To Be Take Through A security Check While Entering A 5-star. . But After this Incident I'm Sure Most Of Us would Be Forced To Give It A thought. .

And To Add To The Ongoing Drama The Big Screen Stars have Found A new way to Promote Their Upcoming Movies By Appearing On these Reality Show As Guest Judge's. . Poor Fellow's need reality shows to promote their movies. . .

What I'm Trying To say is That There's Not Much Difference Left Between The Reality Shows Or One Of those Daily Soaps. .
No Wonder the All Time Favorite Kyunki. . And Kahani Ghar Ghar. . Had To be Stop With them getting Tough Competition from Their So Called Reality Show Counterparts. .

No That It Had To Stop At SRK. . Every Big Screen Actor Suddenly Started Flaunting Their Perfectly Shaped Abs On Screen. . I Even Saw A television Actor doing A shirtless Act And Showing Off On a Reality Show . .

So One Fine Day Even I got A Thought Of Getting My Personal Set Of Six Packs. . And My Trainer At The Gym Said With the Kind Of Body Structure That I have It Would Not Be That Difficult For Me To Get My Abdomen Shaped. . . (Not Kidding . . He Actually Said It . .)

So I started With a Routine That My Trainer Gave which Included A couple Of Sets Of Crunches Followed By A little Running On the Tread-mill. . Which I Followed For The First Week With Full Dedication. .
(The Pictures Of John Abraham For His Latest Film that Got Published In the Paper Only Made Me Work More Harder. .)

Then A few Days Back My trainer Suggested Me a Strict Diet That Had to Be followed For The Next. . Probably Two Months. . . The Diet Included Soups , Salads , Egg Whites , Fruits And All the Possible Low Fat Recipe's. .


For Making This Diet A reality I would Need Actually Need A Personal Cook And Probably Even A separate Kitchen. .
(And Give Up All My Favorite Dishes. . Which Are Not Technically even A Bit Close To Low Fat. . .)

And Also When It Comes To Having Meals . . My Family Is Not That Concerned About My Six Pack Abs Then They Are About Finishing Every Grain Of Rice so That there Are No leftovers. .
(Yup That's Right. . And Don't You Act Like I'm the Only One With Whom This Happens. .)

And Then . . I thought That If Everyone Would Start Getting Perfectly Shaped 6 Pack Abs There Would Be No One To Be compared With . . Like What I'm Trying To Say Is that With The Same Kind of Body We Would All look Like Ants. .Wont We???

PREZ'S RULE IN MUMBAI!!....

Following the recent happenings in the city , the opposition leaders have demanded the presidents rule in Maharashtra for those who dont understand the concept ..well,it means that the mumbai government will be dismissed and the president will be directly handling the state..
such a demand was made after a series of misconduct against the north indians...
a 25 year old lad was killed in an encounter by the mumbai police after he hijacked a BEST bus in the broad daylight and was here with the mission to teach a lesson to the MNS head...(the media said so)..
then the next incident was when a group of north indians were beaten up for occupying the window seats in the train!!
these incidents have acted like catalyst in arising such demands..
the opposition have asked not only for the prez rule but also asked for the arrest of Raj Thackray under national security act..
Lalu Prasad yadav has threatened to stop the rail projects in mumbai if the mumbai government in not dismissed...
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party leader Ramvilas Paswan and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati are supporting the demands made by lalu prasad..
he has also openly criticized Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh for not being capable enouh to control the state ..
deputy CM RRpatil has retorted back by saying"If stray hooliganism of a handful of hotheads be the excuse for demanding President's Rule in Maharashtra, then states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar should be permanently placed under Delhi rule"...

most definitely prez rule is not gonna be applicable in mumbai ever!
maharashtra is and will be managed well and fine under the present government ..we dont need any suggestion from anyone!
mumbai has managed to bounce back time and again..this time wont be an exception!

Mr Rahul Raj . . .What Were U thinking. . ???

The Only Question in every one's mind is that Was the encounter needed ? ? ? Well if u ask me I have reasons on why it was needed and also why it wasn't . .(Let me be political over here. .)

I mean What was that guy thinking. .that he is gonna get a gun, hijack a bus in broad daylight , and to top it all point out the gun to the Mumbai police and get away with it. . I Mean With This Kind of Protest He was surely not gonna get any thing less than an encounter. .

And soon after the whole incident got over the media started pointing out to why the police had to kill Rahul when the could have easily capture him. . The same media would have been the first ones to blame the police just in case Rahul would have shot at anyone before them taking any action. .

It was funny When Some people who know Rahul commented that he was a very innocent guy and he would not have shot anyone. . The funniest of them all was the statement given by his dad who stated " He was Just Holding a small weapon and not an AK47 ". . (So were the cops supposed to wait till he gets an AK47 the next time. . ) Well if Being the so called Innocent person that he was , if he had the silly courage of pointing the gun on the public and the cops , there was a sure shot possibility of him even killing anyone.. .

Well personally if i were to give it another thought i feel what the police could have done is shot him in his legs or hands so that they could have got him unconscious and stopped the whole drama. . but that does not mean we can blame the mumbai police for all that has happened. .

I mean The Police followed what is mentioned in the law as a private self defence and did their job. . This incident If nothing else has certainly set an example for all the people who would even think of repeating such an incident. .(My Opinion. ! !)

Whatever Said Or Written . . The bottom line Would Always Be that One Guy lost his life and what he left behind is another event that the political parties are cashing on. . And for the public, the few who were present in the bus would have a tale to tell others all their lives and Most of us would even forget his name as soon as the Diwali holidays get over and we get started with our respective lives. .

i have just realised that i addicted to reality shows

...

hah even the ones reading my previous posts must have realised it ..well it takes me a lil time to realise things..

like in school i always wondered why people were so wary of me..like really not sure whether to approach me or not...because as usual self assured i thought i was so nice and sweet and all the niceties i was gifted with blah blah..

until; recently somehow,, dont ask how,, i realised i was pretty rude non friendly , snob, and extremely sarcastic!!

so the point is it takes me time to realise and rather accept things about me..

so i accept i m addicted to reality shows..

you love it

you hate it

you just cant miss it..

but it aint exactly a problem ,is it? just to spare myself the torture done by the saas bahu sagas..i started watching alternative chanels.. the tv shows abroad are mostly reality based.. for example: so you think you can dance, wife swap,fear factor, dancing with the stars and so on...

then the revolution started in india with the music shows and game shows..

and i didnt realise until now that i by choice prefer reality show..even after criticizing them so much..

but i am nt a hippocrate...it is just that you have to watch them to give a fair review about them.. welll i m jus doing my job (come on dont thank me for that sweetie!)

and i take my job very seriously..

many reality shows are coming up with new seasons and so is roadies..
last season roadies went international for the first time.. bankok and thailand..
this season it is austraaaaaaaaalia(pronounace it this way..)
roadies has been the only youth based reality show...which has teenagers and twenty something fighting for a karizma and the prise money..
the prise money varies from season to season..because the contestants have to earn that money by doing tasks ...
trust me the tasks last year were really good..
but somewhere i think the show has tooo much bitching going on..wanted or unwanted..
but me really looking forward to this season..
since the last season the face of roadies has changed from the bikes to Raghu..
raghu is the producer of this very show..
he has become tremendiously popular due to the roadies audition...
he takes the contestants case royally...
this has made him such a known face.. good for him..
waiting for it to start

Return of the original indian dance show!

Nach Baliye season 4 recently premiered on star plus with all aplomb. n trust me it wasnt bad at all.. the last season was a let down with who was that.... ya kunal kohli sending flying kisses to contestants.
this season promises to be bigger and better.the first episode did seem to live upto the reputation..
dancing queen farah khan , good looking (just that i dont know why they have one non dancer in alll possible dance show) arjun rampal, and the screen diva karishma kapoor returns to the small screen after qiute few years...
alll those people who dont know.. when karishma's movie career wasnt going upwards she like a lot of other bollywood actors took resort to the tv world..the show was tentatively titled karishma!
lets get back to our topic..
farah danced, arjun tried hard to dance, karishma did her stuff with grace..
last season winners aamir and sanjeeda hosted the show..sanjeeda should hire a stylist ASAP!!!
assuing that everyone is aware about the format i'll tell u about the twist and turns...
12 couples instead of the usual 10..
and the couples will be divided into 2 groups and then the competition will actually begin!!
some contestants dance ,some try ,some shouldn't even try..
1st episode gave some surprising performance..say the eldest couple mr. &mrs. Bhatti managed to put an extremely clean ,synchronised performance..
but the cake goes to abhijit sawant...not a big fan his ever...man he can dance and how...
i real suggest that people should once atleast see him dance...it is pretty good..
the 1st show itself had a couple giving a repeat performance...the dude blanked out on the first day it self!! but the the repeat performance was good..

Mr Raj Was Arrested Late Night on Tuesday From Ratnagiri On The Basis Of The Complaints against him Of Spreading Enmity , Stopping Govt Officials From Doing Their Duty And Putting People's Lives In danger. .

The News Channels Started Flashing the News (Actually The So Called "Breaking News") Of His Arrest And That The Convoy Had Left For Mumbai . .
The Convoy Of Raj(a) Which Consisted Of A good 8-10 Police vehicles took a stop on their way to mumbai for a tea break. .(WOW... Does That Happen With All Of Those Arrested. . )

By this Time The Temperature Had Already started Increasing on the Streets In mumbai...(Like The October Heat Wasn't Enough). .

Offices , School's and College's all were Declared Closed . .

The City Of Mumbai Where A person At Times Does Not Even Stop For Breakfast When Getting Late For Work Was Brought To Standstill By The Arrest Of One Man. .

Even The Taxi And Rickshaw wala's Decided To Take A Break . .(They Are any ways The First Ones To Get Affected. .)

The Security Was Beefed Up Outside The Bandra Court where Mr Raj Was Supposed To Be Brought. . And Trust Me!! The Security On the roads Was Even More Than What There Is For A President's Visit. .

And Then Mr Raj Came in With Around 30 cops Around Him. .
The Cops Which Usually Are Seen Pushing The arrested Person And Often Bring In the arrested holding His/Her Hand's Were not Even Close to Three feet Around Mr Raj (They Were Looking More Like His Personal Guards...)

Not That I have A problem in Him Being Treated Like This . . But Why Not the Cops Start Treating Every Arrested Person The Same. . .

He Got A Bail And Was Kept In Police Custody For A night Till He is Taken To The Kalyan Court For Another case. .I'm Sure His Night In The Police Custody Is Not Gonna Be Less Than A Night In A five Star. .
And The Bill For This One Night Stay Will Be Paid By the The People Of Maharashtra Who Are Going To be Living A life In Jail For Another Day With All that Is going Around. .

My Suggestion : "With the Events Of Such Arrest And Bomblasts Become More And more Common. .The Govt if not thinking About A Solution , Should Be Thinking Of Declaring A Bank Holiday Much In advance For These Occasions. . (LOLz. . . )". .

All That We're Getting to Hear On our Television sets, Radio stations , Newspapers These Days After The Incident That took Place at the Navi Mumbai Station Which Sadly Even Took One Pupil's Life. .

Talking About Where It all Started. .The students that came in to give the railway examinations were brutally beaten By The MNS just because they were north Indians. .
Not that I'm in support Of the action that was taken to prove their point that "Why Are the North Indians Getting the Railway Jobs In Maharashtra For Which The Maharashtrian's be given the First Preference ". .

I mean. . There Could Have Certainly Been A better Way Of trying to put forward this point in front of the govt and the people of this state. .

But The statistics that I came across while going though the News Makes Me think There Certainly Was some Reason Why this All started in the first place. . !!

Some of the reports stated that 95% of the jobs in the Railways were occupied by the people from UP and The Bihar. .
And Also That many a times there Was No mention In the Classifieds Of the Newspapers about available jobs in the railway's. .


It seems to me that what Mr Raj has started doin for the maharashtrians here has already been started and successfully implemented since a long time by our railway ministry...

Mumbai is All set To receive A Mumbai Eye similar to the World Famous London Eye (Which Gives A birds-eye view of London). .
A huge plot Next to the Bandra bandstand has been finalised for the Mumbai Eye. .

Another project that is on its way is the Statue of Shivaji Maharaj Which Will be Erected Along the Sea line Of Mumbai's marine drive.
Whats Special? ? ?

This Statue will be build on top of a man made island which will have a wax museum (Like That Of Madame Tussaud's ) and the height of this statue will be about 4 feet taller than its prototype The statue of Liberty situated on the Liberty Island. .

Well i feel these projects are a great idea and will be a star add-on to the already existing long list of tourist attractions of Mumbai. .
But one Thought that is constantly hitting my mind is that Where On one hand the London eye gives a view of the magnificent London City our Mumbai Eye Will give a bird's eye view of the infamous meethi river on one side and the pot holes (I'm sure) on all the other sides. . (LoL)

And for The Statue of Shivaji , he would just be amused by the sight of the crawling traffic on the marine drive. . .

Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena is the new reality dance show on television with two big differences
1. show has pairs consisting of one cricket player and a tv actress.
2. on this show no one can dance to save their lives!!
lemme give u the basic knowledge about this show...i know it doesnt matter to u ....but why should i be the only one suffering!!!!
the idea is to pair up a cricketer and an actress..make them dance on philmi songs..judge them and decide the winner in six weeks of elimination!!

I never been more sure of my decision of not settling in the US of A...

Well this decision has been taken after long period of thinking,discussions and simply being confused..
throughtout my school and junior college i thought the perfect life would be
1.Finish your graduation.
2. MBA at some cool B-schools in the states.
3.Work at some good firm there itself..
4. Come back to India every year, meet your family, have fun and then leave with some usual rona-dhona.
5.call your parents there too.
6. Fall in love with some super rich Punjabi nri dude and get married...
sounds perfect na...seriously if wasnt doing IT i would b working with ekta kapoor..

well the first point still is applicable i m trying hard to finish my graduation somehow!!!:
this usa craze started when i was still in school,obiviously if u have cousins leaving for the states for MBA and everyone being so super excited about it..
i have lived with my "6 points to perfect life" all through my age until quite recently .
not that i had a change of heart or something.. i assume i jus became smarter than i already was!!
why in the name of Amitabh Bachan would 1 want an MBA abroad when you have all best colleges right here!!!
Firms here would Pay me equally well here..and i might jus be far more comfortable.
why go there and start living from scratch..leaving family,friends and country definitely not happening..
why would i want to shift my parents and completely screw up their life by placing them in a new habitat(FACT: most kinds of animals cannot adjust to change of habitat!!)
and falling love..well only our Karan Johar movie NRI guys speak well...trust me their accent will want u to strangle them..
so the plan to go to US gets flushed and goes down the drain

Our state govt put forward a proposal to enable a woman in a live-in relationship with a man for a reasonable long period should to be given equal rights in the event of a break-off , like what a married woman would be entitled to after the marriage dissolves.

What the government does not define is what would be considered as a “reasonable long period”. I believe Where On one hand this amendment would help the women, specially those who find themselves in the middle of no where after staying with a man for a couple of years , But on the other hand the amendment may well be taken advantage of by those women who would get in a live-in relationship with a the sole intention of taking advantage of this law .

Well as of now this provision has just being proposed , I hope the necessary revision of the amendment will be made when it is introduced .

But one thing is sure this amendment will make sure that the men do not run away from the responsibility of the woman that they have spent the so called “ reasonable long period” with.

This Crisis Was Bound to Destroy the Lives of Million’s of People and It did .
One Of The Cases That I Got To Hear In The Last Few Days Was Of Mr. Karthik Rajaram who Ended His And His Wife ,mother-in-law And Three son’s Life Cause He Could Not Deal With The Financial Crisis that Hit Him Following The Wall street Crash.
Another case was of an NRI family Residing In Los Angeles. Where The Guy Working At A reputed Organization Lost His job as the company closed down again following the market crash. The family was forced to leave their home as they were not able to pay back the loan amount.
What happened to the NRI Family was completely unfortunate , however , I do not have any sympathy for Mr. Karthik Rajaram. Security Beefed Up At the Malls. . (LoL)

I'm sure All of Us Who Frequent The Mumbai Malls Must Have seen A sudden Increase In the Security After the Recent Terrorist Attacks. .


Last Night I happened To Go To This Suburban Mall At Noticed A huge Queue Of cars Waiting to Enter The Parking Space. .


Three To Five Guards Placed At Each Entry Provided With Metal Detectors,

Mirrors To check Below The Car And Two Checking The Car Boot. .

I thought At least Now For Once The People Had Started Taking These Security Issues Seriously.

However What Was funny Was That When Me and One of My Friend Went Ahead To Enter The Same Mall On My Friends Bike We Were Not Stopped At All For A Check. . .



Not Only That , Where On One Hand At The Main Entrance Of the Mall the Security Personnel Were Frisking Each And Every Bag . . We Both Entered the Mall By The Entrance From The Parking Space Along With A Laptop And A Hand Bag Without Even Being Noticed. .

(Not That I'm Giving Away Any Ideas . .) But I feel There Better Not Be Any Security Than For Having One Just For Formality. .

This Bomb Scare Saved A DVD Player. .

Got to Hear OF a Person Who came down from Canada to Visit his Parents residing in Delhi. .
He caught a cab Cab To his Place , and in the event of loading the huge suitcase he had carried onto the carrier. . he forgot to pick the DVD player Box He got for his home. .

Then half Way Down to his place he realised he did not carry the DVD Box. . Took the same cab back to the airport Taxi Stand and Got the box Back. . (Wondering How !!)
This time the box was not alone. . . It caused a bomb scare and The Airport Police Had already taken charge of the Situation. . The bomb Disposal Squad was on its way. .
A Huge crowd Had gathered Around It. .

Only after the guy informed the cops that the box belonged to him and showed them the invoice did the situation cool down. .
The Guy Was Taken To the Police Station And Was Questioned For a Good 40-45 min Before The Cops Were Convinced. . .

Well Atleast the DVD Player Was safe. . lolz .
